Reprise/Entrée Clowns (RUSSIA)

yemelinalexco01.JPG (6495 bytes) Alexei Yemelin and Sergei Zagorski met at the Circus School of Kiev in Ukraine in 1989.

In 1993 the two of them graduate from the circus school with reprise/entrée clowns as speciality.

Hence their professional artistic career started. Until 1996, Alexei and Sergei worked in the style of a comic duo. Worth mentioning is the fact that they performed together with the Star Magician David Copperfield and appeared at the Closing Ceremony of the "Young Olympic Games" in 1996, in the Kremlin , Moscow.

In 1997, Alexei Yemelin created a new comedy-entrée, "Magic Box", which requires an addition of two female partners Irina Prostetsova , descendent from a circus family, the other one Tatiana Svirid, a 2,10 m tall professional female basketball player.

Together they have appeared in several shows, events, Television and Gala productions around the word,- Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Monte-Carlo, France, Hungary, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, England, Arab Emirates and Korea.

Alex and Sergei have been awarded prices from various famous festivals:

"Bronze Medal" at the FESTIVAL MONDIAL DU CIRQUE DE DEMAIN, Paris, France (1996)

"First Prize" at the RUSSIAN COMEDY ARTS FESTIVAL, Sankt-Petersburg, Russia (1996)

"Silver Medal" at the Ist ALL-RUSSIAN FESTIVAL OF CIRCUS ARTS, Yaroslavl, Russia (1997)

"Golden Bear" at the Ist INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS-FESTIVAL OF CIRCUS ARTS, Red Square, Moscow, Russia (1997),- Alexei Yemelin was member in the "New Russian" Springboard Acrobatic Troupe

"Special Price of Jury" at the FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU CIRQUE DE MONTE-CARLO (1997), Alexei Yemelin was member in the "New Russian" Springboard Acrobatic Troupe
