Background
Born in Hungary on the 28th June 1969, the
son of much respected acrobats Duo Kristof, Kristian was set to lead his life as a
circus performer. From the age of 8, Kristian was educated
in the surroundings of the circus world, travelling around
the globe, where he discovered juggling, before returning to Hungary to finish his
schooling. In his final year, at the age of 14, Kristian
took part a charity gala performance, at the Budapest
State Circus, that would change his life forever.
Early work
As the parents where renowed performers
working at the AUSTRIAN NATIONAL CIRCUS, Kristian had the generous oportunity to
perform as a backup act, at age 15.
The next summer he visited the the parents
and again the direction, ARLETTE GRUSS found interest in
the young juggler. Kristian worked as a student of the
Hungarian State Circus and traveling in Russia and
practicing with fenomenal jugglers of the Moscow State Circus.
Career
The the age of 19, contracted for one year
to join CIRCUS TIHANY, he traveled to Mexico for what was
a great show featuring the star clown DAVID LARIBLE.
The tour continued to USA, however, the
company cosed down by the end of 1989, but it gave Kristian the challange of estabilishing himself in this new continent.
A few weeks later, Kristian was working with
TARZAN ZERBINI's SHRINE CIRCUS,
following a contract with the HANNEFORD
CIRCUS in Florida.
He worked with a Las Vegas production set in
Indonesia for the next 6 months, returning to Canada with
the ROYAL CANADIAN CIRCUS and the USA with the SHRINE CIRCUS.
Adapting to this new market, a new image
started to create it self, loosing some of the traditional
formulas that he carried from Europe.
American Circuses and Themeparks where a
hard trial to stand, to drive over 1000 kilometers every
week and perform up to 5 shows a day, where taking the focus away from
developing artisticly.
A second oppurtunity came along in Puerto
Rico with CIRCUS TIHANY that lead its way back to Mexico
and continuing to central America thereafter. Eighteen
months of performances in Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica to
finish this great American adventure.
Upon his return to Hungary, Kristian had to
reintroduce it self to the European market.
The GRAN PREMIO INTERNATIONAL DELL CIRCO
semeed a risky but .......opportunity.
As a great results of this competition
produced, not only a silver award, but 2 years of prestigious
circus contracts in Italy with MOIRA ORFEI, in Germany with KRONE, in
Denmark with BENNEWEIS. He began to find that following the trail of his
childhood, by working with circuses where he travelled
with his parents, was exiting and had lots of professional
quality, but a new turn was about to take place.
A trial week at the famous SCALA theatre in
Madrid that just opened its new show, secured a full years
contract and produced other two years at BENIDORM PALACE and CASINO PALACE, revue shows featuring the most outstandig variety acts on the
market.
Today he is a celebrated speciality act with
guest appearances on the whole fleet of the Royal Caribbean Cruises.
His career involved, circus, variety, theme-parks, revue theatres, night clubs, cruise ships and TV shows.
The past experiences have taught Kristian
privately and professionally that, there is so much
potential in show business that one lifetime is barely enught to live it.
