Father and daughter,
Omar and Zaida Liazeed -"Stars of Balance"- have
together introduced a style of entertainment in the area of equilibristic. They present
arts and skilful performance an esthetical act which manages to enchant the audience all
over the world.
The present act started to develop in Spain in 1980 and has since then been improved
during the years.
Omar is descended from a family of artistes from Jamaica. His father was
an excellent equilibrist. As a teenager Omar began his artistic career with a handstand
equilibristic act.
As he still was quite young, he married Katy Jartz, the famous Italian trapeze artiste
from the troupe THE FLYING JARTZ. She became well-known in the world of circus by being
the first woman in the world performing the three double-somersault with catching.
Eventually, Omar joined the troupe working together with his wife in the trapeze act.
Zaida, the daughter of both artistes, showed already in her early
childhood a special talent for acrobatics. She then started to perform as equilibrist
together with her father.
In 1984, at the age of 14, she was awarded the trophy of "Best Young Talent
of the Year".
The Liazeed have during their career performed for the Prince Family
Grimaldi-Renier III of Monaco, King Hassan II of Morocco and for the Swedish monarch
Carl-Gustav XVI and Queen Sylvia.
Presently, both artistes with their originality, professional skills and charisma have
managed to become part of the best artistes in show business.

The Liazeed are winner of the "Golden Artist"
award
at the 6th INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL OF THE NETHERLANDS in December, 2001.
