High Wire Attraction / Double Aerial Ring Acrobatics RUSSIA
The Russian wire walker family Makarovs, consisting of: father Sergey and his two daughters Karina and Elina, and their husbands Sergey and Mikhail present a spectacular high-wire act performed in a classical style - on a 12 mm diameter and 9,5 m long wire in 10 m high up over the circs ring - containing a mixture of various and very difficult acrobatic skills combined with dangerous balance elements. They are the only artists presenting an “Arabian somersault” on the high-wire.
They have effectuated several tours in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Arabic Emirates, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Germany and Italy, The Netherlands, etc.
The sisters Karina and Elina perform an aesthetic “Aerial-Ring Acrobatic” act named as “DUO MAKAROVI”. The act is choreographed and presented in a modern style.
Sergey Makarov, the creator and leader of the group was awarded "Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation" by the Ministry of Culture and Arts in Russia, for his more than 30 years artistic career, professionalism and exceptional leadership.
