Sergei Petrovich Roubtsov
descendent from a Russian family, and already in his early childhood he dreamt of becoming
a circus artiste. He made his way to acrobatics through sports, and already at the age of
14 he won his first championship in acrobatic gymnastics.
In 1973 Sergei began to perform as an acrobat in a
circus. At the beginning of 1989 a new acrobatic act was formed which was conceived from
his very own ideas. His main source of inspiration was the "Celebration of the
Sun"; a ceremony which the ancient North-Siberian folk used to have.

To the sound of tambourines the artistes appear
in the ring in their colourful outfits.
The act seems to be like a friendly competition in which the artistes are trying to
surpass the skills of the others with extraordinary acrobatic tricks.
The jumps, somersaults and pirouettes are being performed in an incredibly skilful way.
However even more impressive are the double synchronous jumps and other complicated
acrobatic combinations which despite the high speed, are performed with elegance and
precision.
Sergei Roubtsov and his members of the troupe have been rewarded repetitive times in
Russia for their achievements in the art of circus.
In addition, in 1993, this original act received the "Silver Clown"
at the INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL OF MONTE-CARLO.
For his exceptional artistic merits, Sergei
Roubtsov was awarded "Honored Artist of Russia".
