Wuqiao Festival

IXth CHINA WUQIAO INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS FESTIVAL

Location/Place: Circus Building Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, CHINA

Period: 1st-9th November, 2003

Wuqiao country, famed as the home of acrobatics, is located in Hebei Province which is one of the birthplaces of China's acrobatics. For the purpose of flourishing acrobatic art, promoting artistic exchanges between China and other countries and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and foreign artistes,

CWICF has been regarded as one of the most famous circus festivals in the world.

CWICF is jointly sponsored and organized by the Cultural Ministry of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Hebei Province. An Organizing Committee is to be formed to take charge of planning and organizing the Festival.

During the Festival, an international acrobatic performance competition will be held, which is open to the public.

The Organizing Committee will invite foreign and Chinese celebrities in the acrobatic circle to form a judging panel. The jury members may make revisions and changes of the competition regulation before the competition starts. Once the competition begins, the decision of the jury is final and can not be changed.
